Sir William Perkins’s School is seeking to appoint a Teacher of Music to join our dedicated Music department on a maternity cover basis from September 2026.

Our Music department has an outstanding reputation both locally and nationally. The Teacher of Music will work with the Director to enhance all aspects of performance and co-curricular music within the school, so that students of all abilities are actively encouraged to fulfil their musical potential to the maximum.

The successful candidate will be a well-qualified specialist and an inspirational classroom practitioner with a proven track record of teaching music at all levels.

Sir William Perkins’s School is a high-performing, academically selective, independent school for approximately 600 students aged 11 – 18 years. The Head is both a member of HMC and GSA. It is located on an attractive 12- acre site situated on the outskirts of Chertsey, a two-minute walk from the railway station and very near to the junction of the M3 and M25.
