Wycliffe College are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Sports Coach to support the College's basketball programme. Working with the Director of Basketball, the successful candidate will contribute to team, small group and individual training, helping pupils develop their skills, confidence and enjoyment of the game.
This role will involve planning and delivering structured training sessions, supporting development through effective assessment and fostering a positive, inclusive sporting culture that promotes participation, teamwork and sportsmanship.
The ideal candidates will hold a Basketball Coaching Level 1 qualification (Level 2 desirable) and have experience delivering coaching to children in a school or club environment. They will also have a strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals, rules and age-appropriate coaching methods, with the ability to plan and deliver inclusive, engaging sessions and manage pupil behaviour effectively.

Terms of Appointment
This is a permanent, part-time position, with the successful candidate working 10 hours per week during term time.
The working pattern will be agreed in advance between the Coach and the Director of Basketball, taking into account both the Coach’s availability and the needs of the basketball programme. Working days and times may vary from week to week, subject to mutual agreement.
