For September 2026
Competitive salary plus benefits
Permanent

Notting Hill & Ealing High School, one of London’s leading independent girls’ day schools, has an exciting opportunity for an inspirational Learning Support Teacher. We are looking for a well-qualified and dedicated Learning Support Teacher from September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an outstanding and expanding department to develop support for students in our warm and dynamic community.

Learning Support Department

The Learning Support Department at NHEHS plays an important part in the academic and pastoral structures of the School. Specialist knowledge helps to navigate and support students with individual differences to ensure that all pupils have full access to the curriculum and are enabled to achieve their potential in school and beyond.

With a deep understanding of learning differences, multiple intelligences, ways of learning and developments in neuroscience, the Learning Support Department scaffolds the academic work of students to prepare them for more individual study, enabling them to achieve the highest academic standards through a holistic lens.

Students are supported in developing a greater understanding of executive functions as mental processes that help us study effectively. The Department is always available to support all students and prides itself on its warm, inclusive and professional approach.

At NHEHS we understand the importance of explicitly teaching effective independent study skills that support students in achieving their academic goals.

Individual needs are carefully assessed and monitored by working in close partnership with pupils, parents, teachers and where appropriate outside agencies, specialists and external assessors to ensure provision is tailored.

The Department currently includes the full-time post of Director of Inclusion, one part-time Learning Support Teacher and EAL Co-ordinator and one Learning Support Assistant. Two members of the team are qualified access arrangement assessors.
