Position: MFL Assistant (French)
Location: On site, Westbury-on-Trym BS9 3BA
Hours: The post is a term-time only post working 15 periods per week
Start date: 1 September 2026

We are looking for a dynamic and inspiring French language assistant to join our Modern Languages department at Badminton.
Main responsibilities include:
• Taking small conversational classes in preparation for oral exams
• Supporting bilingual pupils through enrichment classes using literature, grammar, film.
• Supporting MFL teaching staff in the classroom
• Provide MFL staff with up-to-date information about developments in France (eg. political, social and linguistic)
• Taking larger classes on an occasional basis
• You will be always promoting your language and culture by stimulating interest and excitement in language learning while providing valuable assistance to the Modern Languages staff
To be considered for this position, we are looking for the following:
• Applicants must be educated at least to the final stage of their own secondary school system (e.g. A-level equivalent/Baccalaureate)
• Ideally, you will also have a good degree or teaching qualification
• You will have a particular interest in the culture, politics, and life of your own country.
• Some teaching experience would be desirable although not essential
