Marketing and Admissions Officer

Contract term: Permanent

Hours: 0.8 FTE

Salary: GDST Support Staff Pay Band Grade 4 - no less than £25,317 (actual pay)

Required from: ASAP

The role

Do you have a flair for storytelling, a sharp eye for design and a passion for creating compelling experiences?

At Royal High School Bath, GDST, we believe every girl should be known, valued and empowered to thrive. As one of the UK's leading independent schools for girls, we are proud of our vibrant community, ambitious spirit and commitment to helping young women discover who they are and who they can become.

We are seeking a creative, organised and proactive Marketing & Admissions Officer to join our dynamic team and play a key role in bringing the Royal High story to life.

This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who loves combining creativity with purpose. Working across both marketing and admissions, you will help shape how prospective families, pupils, alumnae and the wider community experience our school, ensuring every interaction reflects the warmth, energy and ambition that define Royal High.

What you'll be doing

As our in-house creative lead, you'll produce engaging and high-quality marketing materials that celebrate life at Royal High and inspire prospective families to connect with us. From designing eye-catching print and digital collateral to creating social media assets, event materials and campus displays, your work will be seen across the school community and beyond.

You'll also support the delivery of recruitment campaigns and admissions activity, helping to create memorable experiences for families as they explore their school's future. Working closely with the Head of Marketing and Admissions colleagues, you'll help coordinate events, manage communications, analyse data and contribute fresh ideas that strengthen engagement and drive enquiries.

No two days are the same. One day you could be designing materials for a major school event, the next capturing content from a student achievement, supporting an open morning or helping deliver a targeted digital campaign.

About you

You'll be a creative thinker with strong design skills, excellent organisational abilities and a can-do attitude. You'll enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and collaborating with colleagues across the school.

Most importantly, you'll be excited by the opportunity to tell inspiring stories, build meaningful connections and contribute to the success of a school that is changing lives through girls' education.

You’ll be confident using digital tools — ideally including Adobe Creative Suite and Canva — and able to produce engaging content across formats such as newsletters, brochures, social media, video and photography.

You will be organised, collaborative and comfortable managing multiple projects at once. With a proactive mindset and a can do attitude, you’ll enjoy contributing ideas, solving problems and working closely with colleagues across the school.

Experience in marketing, communications or admissions is essential, and experience within an education setting would be an advantage. Above all, you will be an enthusiastic ambassador for girls’ education and the values of the GDST.

Why Royal High Bath?

Royal High Bath is a day and boarding school with a reputation for providing a pioneering education for girls. We are proud to be part of the Girls’ Day School Trust — the UK’s leading network of independent girls’ schools — offering exceptional professional development, collaboration and career progression.

This is more than a marketing role. It's an opportunity to be part of a thriving, supportive and forward-thinking community where your creativity will have real impact. You'll join a school that champions innovation, celebrates individuality and is committed to empowering the next generation of confident, courageous young women.

Benefits

As part of the GDST, we offer a generous package including:
