Wycliffe College is seeking to recruit a motivated Maintenance Operative to join our Maintenance Team.

Reporting to the Estates Bursar, the successful applicant will carry out general maintenance across our busy school campus, including building and facilities repairs, painting, inspections and other general maintenance tasks. They will also help prepare facilities for events and activities and support the wider maintenance team as required.

Experience in a trade or general maintenance role would be beneficial and applicants should have a good understanding of workplace Health & Safety requirements, and be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. A full UK driving licence is essential.

The role is predominantly weekday daytime work. However, the successful applicant will be required to join a rota covering weekday evening and weekend evening campus lock-ups, approximately every third week.

Terms of Appointment:

This is a permanent position, offered on a full-time, all-year-round basis. Working hours are from Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 4.30pm with a 30-minute unpaid break for lunch each day.

Salary: £26,437 per annum.

A shift allowance is available for security shifts and gate lock ups.
