The Opportunity
Haberdashers' Monmouth School is looking to appoint NPLQ qualified lifeguards to join our dedicated team.
We are recruiting for the following positions (Please indicate on application the post you are applying for):
1. Casual Lifeguards – we have multiple shifts available morning, afternoons and evenings between 6.30am and 9.45pm Monday to Friday and weekends 9.00am until 4.30pm
2. Part-Time Lifeguard – 15 hours a week, Monday to Friday 6.30am – 9.30am
Salary £10.85 (under 18) and £13.21 (over 18)
Key Responsibilities
1. Control of bather behaviour, effect rescues, offer first aid as and when required in an appropriate and professional manner as laid down in the Sports Club’s operating procedures
2. Ensure all poolside records are completed as necessary (for example cleaning and first aid)
3. Health and Safety within Monmouth School Sports Club and St Catherine’s Campus Swimming Pool (specifically poolside, changing areas and pool viewing balcony)
4. Ensure high standards of safety, cleanliness and general service (specifically all pool users)
5. Communicate with Sports Club staff regarding relevant issues
6. Planning, organisation, implementation and supervision of children’s parties and other special events
7. Supervise pool activities as directed by the Duty Officer
8. Any other reasonable duties not specified above allocated by Monmouth School Enterprises Ltd, within your capabilities and within the scope of your post
9. To attend such meetings and training courses as required
10. As the Sports Club is a school site all staff have a responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of children

About You
Applicants will hold a valid RLSS National pool Lifeguard Qualification. A flexible approach and excellent communication and organisational skills are also essential.
