RGS The Grange is seeking an exceptional and inspirational Head to lead this thriving Co-educational Prep School into its next chapter, at a landmark moment as the School celebrates its thirtieth anniversary this academic year.

Set within 50 acres of beautiful grounds on the outskirts of Worcester in Fernhill Heath, RGS The Grange has built a reputation for academic ambition, outstanding pastoral care and a genuinely warm, close-knit community. Commended by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) for the exceptional confidence and personal development of its pupils, the School combines small class sizes with a distinctive, values-led culture known as 'The Grange Way'. Pupils benefit from an unusually rich co-curricular life, ranging from over 75 weekly clubs to nationally recognised sporting and musical success.

This appointment comes as Mr Gareth Hughes prepares to retire at the end of this academic year after many years of dedicated leadership. It offers a rare opportunity to shape the future of a highly successful, much-loved prep school which is part of The RGS Worcester Family of Schools.

We are looking for a warm, highly visible and forward-thinking leader - someone who understands that the character of a Prep School is defined by its Head, and who combines outstanding leadership with strong organisational awareness. As part of the wider RGS Worcester Family, the successful candidate will also play an active role in shaping the group's strategic direction, and will work closely with RGS Worcester to ensure a seamless educational journey for pupils.

If you are ready to lead with vision, warmth and ambition, we would be delighted to hear from you.

For an informal discussion and further information, please contact our consultants, Phil Garner or Andy Giles. Contact details are attached below.

The Governors of RGS Worcester are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

Candidates should be aware that, if shortlisted, an online search will be conducted as part of our safeguarding checks.

Rehabilitation of Offenders: This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013 and 2020). Certain spent convictions and cautions are 'protected' under filtering rules, meaning they do not need to be disclosed and cannot be taken into account by employers. Further information on filtered offences can be found in the official DBS filtering guide.
