The Cathedral School Llandaff, Cardiff’s leading independent school for girls and boys, seeks to appoint a creative and enthusiastic Forest School Leader who is passionate about outdoor learning experiences, to join the team on a fixed term basis from 11 January 2027 to 28 February 2027, in the first instance. The role will include leading Forest School sessions for current and prospective pupils of the school and children in the local community.
The hours of work for the fixed term contract will be from 8.30 to 15.30 each Wednesday. Opportunities to support further Forest School provision can arise, should additional hours be desirable. There will also be a requirement to attend relevant training or INSET days which fall within the fixed term period; advance notice of the dates will be provided.
The rate of pay is up to £15.66 per hour, dependent on experience and payable against authorised timesheets submitted.
Lunch is provided daily during term time for all staff free of charge. Staff are enrolled into an ‘auto-enrolment’ pension scheme. The Wellbeing Committee helps to support staff welfare, and all staff have access to a gym, and weekly yoga and pilates sessions.
