We seek to appoint an organised and reliable Examinations Invigilator on a part-time basis during exam periods, mainly in the summer from April but may also be asked to conduct invigilation for internal exams/assessments as required (usually in November/January of each year). Reporting to the Examinations Officer, the successful candidate will join the team of invigilators in conducting external exams/assessments for pupils, ensuring strict adherence to all regulatory requirements, as set out by the three examination governing bodies used by the School: The Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ); Qualifications Wales (QW); & Cambridge Assessment International Education (CIE).
Experience of being an invigilator, whilst desirable, is not essential as training will be provided.
The rate of pay for this post from will be £13.42, payable against authorised timesheets submitted.
The hours of work are varied in line with external exam dates and times; by negotiation and agreement during the mock period (usually January/February) and summer exams period (usually late March-June). The post holder may also be asked to conduct invigilation for internal exams/assessments as required. The School will offer work as and when it is available but cannot guarantee that any minimum amount of work will be offered in any given week or month.
Staff are provided with lunch daily, free of charge, and holiday entitlement will be calculated as an average or proportion depending on the hours worked. The post holder will be enrolled into an ‘auto-enrolment’ pension scheme if eligible and may still be entitled to join if not automatically enrolled. Further details of pension arrangements and holiday pay will be provided.
