The Cathedral School, Cardiff's leading independent school for girls and boys, is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Learning Support Assistant to join our thriving Primary section on a permanent basis from September 1st 2026. To work under the direction of the Primary Learning Support Coordinator to provide high-quality, individualised support for pupils requiring learning support in the Primary Section, enabling them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
This is a permanent, part-time role, initially working on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesday mornings. Hours of work will be 8.00 am until 4.00 pm, Monday and Tuesday and 8.00am to 12.30pm on a Wednesday during term time. For the right candidate, there is an opportunity to work an additional two days per week as a classroom teaching assistant.
The current salary range for this role is £26,719 to £29,076 per annum (FTE), pro-rated to £13,359 to £14,538 for 0.5 FTE and will reflect the experience of the person appointed (pay award pending).
