A vacancy has arisen in the Examination department for a Part-Time Assistant to commence 1st September 2026.
The role involves supporting the Examination Officer with administration for Internal and Public examination sessions and duties would include, but are not limited to:
Keeping up to date with current examination board regulations and undertaking examination invigilator training to ensure academic honesty whilst candidates are sitting Internal or Public examinations, keeping the integrity of the centre paramount at all times.
Supporting the Examination Officer in checking Public examination scripts packages against entries. (It is an examination board regulation that all examination script packages are checked by a second person before being placed into the secure facility).
Assisting the Examination Officer with the checking and dispatch of statements of entry, statements of results, post results services and examination certificates to candidates.
Assisting with creating seating cards and seating plans for examination sessions.
Ensuring stationery boxes for examinations are stocked with correct materials.
Assisting with general day to day telephone and email enquiries from candidates, parents and staff regarding examination and post results enquiries.
To coordinate the administration of exams in the absence of the Examinations Officer.
The role is for three full days (not Fridays) per week (7.15am until 3pm daily) to be agreed with the Examinations Officer but the successful candidate needs to be available and flexible during examination sessions and published results days. The role benefits from 33 days (pro rata) and public holidays.
Candidates should have their own sponsorship. Any previous experience of working in a School examinations department is desirable, and a good level of IT skills is essential.
