The British School Al Khubairat is looking to employ a Head of UAE Curriculum - Secondary. This is a full time role and will commence 1st September 2026.

The candidate will hold a degree in Arabic literature or degree in teaching of Arabic/ MFL or Islamic certificate, obtaining Islamic and Arabic is an extra advantage. Good honours’ degree in Islamic and/or relevant teaching qualification e.g PGCE.
The candidate should possess at least 5 years relevant teaching experience and at least 2 year relevant leadership experience. The candidate will have excellent spoken English. A working knowledge of Google software is desirable.
- Lead and manage the delivery of Secondary UAE curriculum subjects, including Native Arabic, Social Studies, and Islamic Studies (Native and Non-Native).
- Teach a reduced timetable in either Native Arabic or Islamic Studies in line with UAE Ministry of Education requirements.
- Oversee curriculum planning, assessment, and student progress, including ABT and Ministry examination outcomes.
- Line manage and support UAE curriculum staff, promoting high standards of teaching and learning.
- Ensure compliance with MOE and ADEK requirements and contribute positively to whole-school initiatives.
